LONDON, England, May 9- Inter Milan have confirmed they would like to secure the services of Chelsea striker Fernando Torres during the summer.
There has been ongoing speculation about the club being interested in the Spaniard and those rumours were confirmed by director Piero Ausilio on Friday.
Torres still has two years left on his £175,000-a-week contract, but the Italian giants are prepared to take him on loan with a view to making his stay permanent next year for a reported fee of £10m.
“Yes, he is a player we’re following. Torres’s career speaks for itself – the titles he has won and the teams in which he has played,” Piero told the London Evening Standard this week.
“It’s all about whether he has the right motivation and the desire to be part of a new ambitious project.”
There is no still clarity on whether Torres will be interested in joining Inter.
