Mikel’s game time at Chelsea has been limited this season and he has made only 10 Premier League starts after falling behind Ramires, Nemanja Matic and Frank Lampard in Jose Mourinho’s pecking order.
The midfielder’s agent, John Shittu, was not giving too much away, but did not rule out the possibility that Mikel could be playing in Serie A next season.
“Inter? What I can tell you is that I’ve with my client and the leaders – there is interest in him,” Shittu told FC Inter News.
“He is a great player, he’s won the Champions League and the African Cup of Nations so he is up to the standard for the Nerazzurri. Inter is a hypothesis, for now Mikel is a Chelsea player.”
