Cesc relishing Chelsea chance

FABREGAS-BLUES LONDON July 23-New Chelsea signing Cesc Fabregas has revealed he was desperate to sort out his future before the World Cup, and says he is relishing the chance to play under Jose Mourinho this season.

The Spain international became the Blues’ first off-season signing in the current market after bidding farewell to Barcelona and penning terms at Stamford Bridge in June, before jetting off to Brazil with La Furia Roja.

And, the former Arsenal captain is now eagerly anticipating his new career in the west of London, saying: “It was very important for me that the deal was done before the World Cup.

“I wanted my head free and to know what I was going to do next season and where I was going to be. I thought I was at the right age and I believed I wanted a change.

“I looked at all the offers I had and after speaking to the coach, I thought Chelsea was the best decision.

“Jose’s teams are always difficult to beat and always difficult to play against. Tactically they are very well-composed and they have discipline. He gets the best out of his players.”
