Remy fitness no worry for Jose

REMY-SCORES LONDON, September 13-Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insists there are no issues with Loic Remy’s fitness, despite Liverpool having seemingly pulled out of a deal for the Frenchman due to a reported failed medical.

The forward looked destined to leave QPR during the recently concluded transfer period, and was even believed to have met with the Reds, only to have the Anfield club eventually turn their back on any offer.

The Blues then stepped in and wrapped up a deal for the 27-year-old France international, and Mourinho insists he is in the dark over why Liverpool failed to see their proposed deal through.

“We don’t have Liverpool’s report,” Mourinho said of Remy, who could make his debut in Saturday’s top of the table clash against Swansea City.

“The final conclusion (of Chelsea’s medical) was the same conclusion that the France federation medical department had before the World Cup, which was that the player has no problems and can play football.

“If a player fails a medical it should be something very, very intimate, very personal between the player and the club.

“But the way almost every club does it, it looks like the medical is not any more a private situation.”
