LONDON, November 7-Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud could return from injury to face Manchester United in two weeks’ time, manager Arsene Wenger has revealed.
A fractured tibia suffered in August looked set to rule the Frenchman out for the remainder of the year, but he could return to the fray earlier than expected.
“Giroud joins in training next week,” Wenger told Arsenal’s official website.
The Gunners look set to be without defender Laurent Koscielny and midfielder Jack Wilshere until after the upcoming international break.
“He has a mild hamstring strain and he will be out for a short period because it’s a grade one,” Wenger off Wilshere. “He should be back after the internationals.”
The manager added that Koscielny: “has a little chance to be back after the international break”.
