LONDON, November 6-Real Sociedad have confirmed that they have spoken to former Manchester United boss David Moyes about their managerial vacancy.
Moyes has been without a job since he was relieved of his duties at Old Trafford four matches short of the end of the 2013/14 Premier League campaign, the Scot’s first season in charge of the Red Devils.
Sociedad are on the lookout for a replacement for Jagoba Arrasate who was sacked at the beginning of the month, and Txuriurdin chairman Jokin Aperribay has confirmed that Moyes is one of the options the club is considering.
“It’s true about Mel, it’s true about Moyes, but we’re also talking with more managers and maybe there will be more than that,” he told EFE.
“We are talking with all that are on the shortlist and we want them to know how we operate, giving them knowledge of Real Sociedad, from the respect, to the philosophy and the youth academy.
“We really like the four, each with their own style, and there are some things that we really like a lot about them.”
Prior to Moyes’ failed stay at United, the 51-year-old spent more than a decade at the helm of Everton.
