NAIROBI, Kenya, February 14 – Kenya will have to win their last group B fixture against England to qualify for a second successive Main Cup quarter- final after winning one match in their opening day at Las Vegas Sevens on Saturday.
Kenya who fielded a strong line-up in the absence of vice captain Collins Injera who flew back after Wellington 7s to welcome his second born, snatched a last-gasp win over Canada 22-21 in the opening fixture before going down 14-19 to Argentina.
Canada bounced back to shock England 12-15 to throw the group wide open after Argentina lost 17-19 to England.
With both sides having won a match each, they all have a chance of making it to the Cup quarters when action resumes Sunday morning.
Felix Ochieng’ charges face England tomorrow at 12:30am.
