Thuranira shares with Capital FM Business about his entrepreneurship journey.
How old were you when starting out?
I was 14 years old when I started. Quite an exciting time for me. I reared Chicken and sold eggs.
Where did you capital from and how did you go about getting it?
I used bank loans, investments and savings.
If you could time travel back to day one of your startup and have 15 min with your former self, what would you tell yourself?
I would do it all over again as I believe whatever happens is meant for learning. When you learn from your mistakes, you grow.
What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
Resilience, patience, honesty, and I will add another tip, be outgoing.
Do you believe there is some sort of pattern or formula to becoming a successful entrepreneur?
Good habits are very important as well as hanging around the right people. Choose the correct people to hang out with.
What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?
Being an entrepreneur is great, my favourite aspect is that I am able to coach and mentor others to be better than me; I also love the part that I get to create stuff.
